This lush green valley is well landscaped to feature a woodland walk beside a small river, over wooden bridges up to the Monastery of Kalopetra.
Along the way, by looking closely, you will see a multitude of a rare species of moth clinging to trees, attracted by the characteristic pine resin scent. Unfortunately the level of moths has deteriorated over the years, due to the infiltration of tourists to the area, however the park is still a delightful walk under the shade of the trees.
There is also a small but interesting museum on the site here, displaying many insects. A souvenir shop and small snack shop are also available.
