At the Southernmost tip of Rhodes is a very impressive double-edged beach, with the Aegean sea on one side, and the Mediterranean sea flanking the other.
Many watersporting enthusiasts travel here to enjoy kitesurfing and windsurfing. Lessons can be booked if you want to have a go - just turn up and ask.
There is a long and arduous walk from the end of the beach up and down seemingly endless hills (take plenty of water and sunscreen) to the lighthouse atthe very end of the island, there are some beautiful views from here.
While at the Southern end of the island, it is worth exploring some of the small untouched coves, there are many dirt tracks leaving the main road (some are signposted to beaches), and many of these beaches are often deserted.
